"Mnisamehe, Lakini Najua Mungu Halali" MP Sudi Laments, Vows Not to Take Action Against Looters of His Timba XO Club

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has taken a surprising stance following the vandalism and looting of his newly opened club, Timba XO, during recent protests in Kenya.

The legislator, known for his vocal presence in politics, released a heartfelt video where he expressed forgiveness towards those who ransacked his establishment.

In the video, Sudi appeared visibly saddened by the destruction caused by what he described as "goons" during the anti-Finance Bill protests. The club, which had only been operating for two months, was left in ruins as looters made away with expensive items, including alcohol.

"I want to say two words on this Kalenjin fight since I was born I know how to build, be it classroom, school, churches I have never known how to wreck havoc on someone's item," Sudi expressed remorsefully in the video.

Despite the losses incurred and the personal impact on his business, Sudi emphasized his decision not to pursue legal action against the perpetrators.

He invoked a sense of understanding, attributing the vandalism to individuals from his own community and urging for peace and reconciliation instead of further conflict.

Netizens and commentators alike expressed mixed feelings about Sudi's decision, with some praising his compassion and others questioning the effectiveness of forgiveness in deterring future acts of violence during protests.
