Victor, a man who has spent 29 years in Germany, has publicly appealed for help, shedding light on his severe hardships. His situation, which he shared in a heartfelt video, has resonated with many online.

Victor, whose parents are Nigerian and Congolese, moved to Germany almost three decades ago. Initially, he built a life in Europe and even married a German woman.

However, his fortunes changed dramatically after he served a three-year prison sentence. Upon his release, Victor found himself homeless, struggling to rebuild his life.

In the video, Victor reveals the grim reality of his current situation. He receives a weekly stipend from the German government of around KSh 41,500 (approximately 300 euros).

Despite this support, he only gets KSh 2,700 (around 20 euros) after housing costs are deducted, leaving him with insufficient funds to cover his basic needs.

Victor's health is another major concern. He suffers from four different diseases, which, combined with his financial struggles, have pushed him into depression.

Despite his efforts to stay connected with his family in Nigeria, his circumstances have made it difficult for him to offer them any support.

His plea for help has stirred a range of reactions online. Some people have expressed sympathy and offered to assist, while others have questioned his past actions, suggesting that he might not have helped his family when he was in a better position.

Victor’s case highlights the precarious situation faced by many immigrants who, despite living in a foreign country for many years, can find themselves in vulnerable positions due to unforeseen life events.

There have been suggestions that Victor might benefit from returning to Nigeria, where he could potentially receive more direct support from his family. However, the transition back to a country he left decades ago, with the added pressure of his health issues, presents significant challenges.

Victor's appeal is a call to action for both local communities and international networks to provide the necessary support to help him and others in similar situations find a path to recovery and stability.
