BREAKING NEWS; Former Trade CS Rebecca Miano Returns as Attorney General In Ruto's Govt

President William Ruto has nominated former Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Rebecca Miano as the new Attorney General.

President William Ruto also appointed 11 to the new-look cabinet.

Miano idf approved will replace former National Assembly Speaker and Attorney General Justin Muturi.

The head of state on Friday reappointed six to cabinet after finding them a fortnight ago.

The move comes as part of Ruto's commitment to forming an inclusive and transformative administration aimed at accelerating Kenya's economic growth and development.

Makin a comeback include; Kithure Kindiki (Interior), Alice Wahome (Public Works), Davis Chirchir (Roads), Aden Duale (Defence), Soipan Tuya (Environment), and Rebecca Miano as the Attorney general.

Kithure Kindiki has been nominated to the Ministry of the Interior and National Administration, a position he held previously.

The new entrants are; Dr Debra Mulongo Barasa (Health), Julius Ogamba (Education), Dr Andrew Karanja (Agriculture), Eric Muriithi (Water), and Dr Margaret Ndungu (ICT).

Alice Wahome is set to lead the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development.

“I am continuing to undertake consultations across the political divide on the balance of Cabinet that I will appoint shortly. The consultations are at an advanced stage and internal processes in various sectors are underway to facilitate my appointment of the balance of this Cabinet,” said the President.

Soipan Tuya has been nominated to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, while Davis Chirchir, who previously served in the Ministry of Energy, has been appointed to the Ministry of Roads and Transport.

“Additionally,. I will be issuing next week a clear roadmap on the assignment that the new Cabinet is going to have, with clear timelines and deliverables to harness the tremendous potential that exists in our nation and drive our country to greatness.”

In his statement, President Ruto emphasized his commitment to creating a government that reflects the needs and aspirations of the Kenyan people.
