Bodies retrieved from Mukuru kwa Njenga in Nairobi on July 12, 2024.
The bodies of four women were found mutilated and wrapped in polythene bags in a harrowing discovery near the Mukuru kwa Njenga slums of Nairobi.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to Citizen Digital, the bodies displayed severe injuries and had been bound with ropes.
The eyewitness recounted a chilling account of the discovery: a woman approached them, claiming she had a dream revealing her missing sister's location.
Initially skeptical, they investigated the area and were shocked to uncover multiple bodies, some dismembered and tightly secured with ropes.
This led them to believe the bodies had been transported to the dumpsite from another location.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the distressing scene, cordoning off the area for investigation. The bodies were subsequently transported to the City Mortuary for detailed examination and identification of the victims.
The community has been left deeply shaken by the gruesome find, prompting urgent calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of these women.
Faith Odhiambo, President of the Law Society of Kenya, expressed profound concern over the incident, stressing the need for justice and asserting that such acts are intolerable.
There is apprehension that additional bodies may yet be discovered as the search effort intensifies.
