In Nairobi, businessman Kevin Otiende has taken a significant step to help Henry Omondi, a man who recently gained fame for his passionate protest against the alleged sale of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Omondi, who is currently homeless and sleeps on the streets, caught the public’s eye when he was photographed fiercely defending the airport from what he claimed was an unfair sale.

Despite his challenging circumstances, Omondi’s determination and outspoken nature resonated with many.

Otiende, moved by Omondi’s story and his struggle, decided to offer him a chance for a new beginning.

During their first meeting, Otiende was struck by Omondi’s intelligence and abilities. Even though Omondi had to drop out of school at Class 2, he showed a remarkable talent for reading and writing, alongside excellent handwriting.

Otiende was impressed by Omondi’s inborn intelligence and felt compelled to provide him with practical support.

He has arranged for Omondi to receive vocational training in mechanics at a technical and vocational education training (TVET) institution.

This opportunity aims to equip Omondi with skills that will help him secure a stable job and improve his life situation.

The vocational training will not only provide Omondi with technical skills but also give him the chance to gain a sense of purpose and direction.

Otiende believes that with the right training and support, Omondi can transform his life and build a better future. The training will start soon, and Omondi will have the chance to learn the trade he is passionate about.

In addition to providing Omondi with training, Otiende has also encouraged the community to support him once he completes his education.

He hopes that people will take their vehicles to Omondi for maintenance and repairs, which will help him get started in his new career. Otiende’s initiative is a gesture of goodwill and a practical way to help someone in need.
