BREAKING; Kenya Police Kills Several Deadly Gang Members in Biggest Targeted Ambush in Haiti

On Tuesday, Kenyan police officers stationed in Haiti, working together with the Haitian National Police, carried out a major operation in Port-au-Prince targeting local gangs. This operation has been described as the largest and most successful since the Kenyan forces began their mission in Haiti three months ago.

The operation began early in the morning and involved a significant deployment of over 15 armored vehicles. These vehicles were seen heading towards the Bel-Air and Solino districts, areas notorious for high levels of gang activity.

The Kenyan and Haitian forces planned their approach carefully, cordoning off these areas before launching their attack. The goal was to dismantle the gangs that have been destabilizing the region.

Godfrey Otunge, who leads the Kenyan peacekeepers in Haiti, confirmed the success of the operation. He explained that the mission was carefully planned, including the evacuation of local residents before the attack began to reduce the risk of civilian casualties. This preparation was crucial in ensuring the operation went as smoothly as possible.

The operation had a significant impact on the gangs operating in the area. Several gang members were reported to have been killed during the mission.

However, some managed to escape through narrow streets. The exact number of casualties has not been disclosed, but the operation's effectiveness in disrupting gang activities was clear.

Despite the success, the operation was not without its challenges. During the mission, three Haitian police officers sustained minor injuries. They received prompt medical treatment and are expected to recover fully.

The operation was bolstered by recent equipment shipments from the United States. Just days before the mission, the Kenyan police officers received 24 armored vehicles and 34 Overhead Gunner Protection Kits from the U.S.

These vehicles and kits are designed to offer better protection and improve visibility for officers during dangerous missions. The timely arrival of this equipment played a crucial role in the success of the operation, helping the joint forces conduct the mission more effectively.

Local residents in the affected areas have expressed their gratitude and relief following the operation. Many hope that continued efforts like this will help bring lasting peace to their neighborhoods and reduce the influence of gang violence.
