On Thursday, August 8, 2024, First Lady Rachel Ruto delivered an inspiring message to Kenya's 19 newly sworn-in Cabinet Secretaries.

Her remarks came during a significant event at State House, where the Cabinet members were officially inaugurated.

The ceremony was marked by a call for unity, integrity, and dedication to serving the Kenyan people. The First Lady's message emphasized the importance of these values in leading the country towards a brighter future.

Rachel Ruto took the opportunity to congratulate the new Cabinet Secretaries, expressing her belief in their ability to contribute positively to Kenya's development.

She underscored the importance of integrity, urging the new leaders to be steadfast in their commitment to serving the nation with honesty and courage.

"Congratulations to the 19 Cabinet Secretaries who have been sworn in this morning. We believe in your ability to serve the nation, working with unity of purpose to deliver the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)," she said.

The Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) is a key policy of the Kenya Kwanza government, led by President William Ruto.

This approach focuses on empowering the grassroots by addressing the needs of ordinary citizens and promoting economic opportunities for all.

Rachel Ruto's emphasis on this agenda highlights the administration's commitment to making sure that the new Cabinet will prioritize policies that benefit the broader population, especially those who have historically been marginalized.

In her message, Rachel Ruto expressed her confidence in the new Cabinet Secretaries' ability to implement this agenda effectively.

She encouraged them to work together with a shared purpose, ensuring that their efforts are aligned with the government's goals of economic transformation.

During the swearing-in ceremony, President William Ruto also addressed the new Cabinet, stressing the importance of unity and cooperation in government.

He acknowledged the challenges facing the nation but assured the public that the new Cabinet is well-equipped to lead the country through these difficult times.

The President called on all Kenyans to support the new government as it strives to unlock the country's potential and create a better future for all.

Among the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries is John Mbadi, who assumed the role of National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary.

Mbadi's appointment is particularly significant, given the current economic challenges facing the country. As he takes on his new responsibilities, Mbadi has already begun meeting with his team to lay the groundwork for his tenure.

Mbadi's role will be crucial in steering the country's economic policies and ensuring that the government's financial resources are managed effectively.

His appointment comes at a time when the government is focusing on economic recovery and growth, making his position one of great importance.
