Mary Katunge, a young woman from Kitengela, is living a nightmare after her husband of four years abandoned her, choosing to rekindle a relationship with his high school sweetheart.
The couple had gone through thick and thin together, but now Mary feels betrayed and heartbroken after investing so much in a marriage that has left her devastated.
Mary's story began when she met her husband during a time when they were both struggling financially. He was a man with little to his name—he didn’t even have a mattress to sleep on.
