Lawyer Miguna Miguna's Message To Jimi Wanjigi After Appearing On Citizen TV For an Interview

Dr. Miguna Miguna has raised serious concerns about Jimi Wanjigi's integrity and past actions. Miguna's critique focuses on three main demands for Wanjigi: transparency about his wealth, returning questionable earnings, and revealing a crucial political agreement.

Miguna's first demand is for Wanjigi to explain how he amassed his fortune. Wanjigi, a prominent businessman, reportedly made billions of dollars in Kenya during Daniel Arap Moi's presidency.

Miguna is skeptical, questioning how someone without a notable career or innovative achievements could become so wealthy in a country with a repressive regime.

He wants Wanjigi to provide a clear account of his financial rise and the role, if any, that political connections might have played.

The second point of contention is the call for Wanjigi to return funds he allegedly earned through unethical means. Miguna accuses Wanjigi of benefiting from conflicts of interest and shady deals, particularly involving military and infrastructure contracts.

According to Miguna, these deals were made with the aid of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and the Special Branch, which were known for their secrecy and manipulation during Moi's rule.

Miguna argues that returning these funds is essential for Wanjigi to prove his commitment to reform and social justice.

Lastly, Miguna is demanding the public release of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Wanjigi, William Ruto, and Uhuru Kenyatta from before the 2013 elections.

Miguna believes that this agreement, which was kept secret, contains important details about deals made with ICC-indicted individuals. He argues that such secrecy undermines democratic governance and the sovereignty of the people.

By not disclosing this document, Miguna claims, Wanjigi shows allegiance to corrupt practices rather than genuine reform.

He warns that true change requires vigilance and honesty, urging Kenyans to avoid repeating the mistakes of past revolutionaries who faced similar challenges.
