On Friday evening, former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria made headlines after being appointed to a significant new role by President William Ruto.

Kuria is now a Senior Advisor in the President’s Council of Economic Advisors. This announcement was made by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei. Kuria’s new position is aimed at strengthening the implementation of the BETA plan, a key economic strategy for Kenya.

Following this high-profile appointment, Kuria wasted no time in updating his social media profiles. He first changed his Facebook profile picture to the Kenyan flag.

This move was a symbolic gesture reflecting his renewed commitment to public service. Shortly after, Kuria updated his profile picture once again, this time featuring the Kenyan coat of arms. This second update was another clear indication of his return to a government role.

The changes were not limited to Facebook. Kuria also updated his profile on X, formerly known as Twitter, to align with his new official status.

The swift updates to his social media profiles were noticed by many Kenyans, who took to his pages to offer congratulations on his new appointment. Despite the congratulations and public interest, Kuria has yet to make any official posts regarding his new role.

In his new position, Kuria will be responsible for providing high-level economic guidance and strategic advice. His role is expected to be crucial in formulating and implementing policies that aim to boost Kenya’s economic landscape.

The BETA plan, which Kuria will help to advance, is a significant part of the government’s strategy to drive economic growth and development in the country.

Kuria’s appointment comes at a time when the Kenyan government is focused on economic reforms and development.

The Kenyan public and political observers are keenly watching how Kuria’s new role will influence the implementation of the BETA plan.

His previous experience as a Cabinet Secretary and his involvement in various economic initiatives have set high expectations for his performance in this new position.

Overall, Kuria’s updates on social media have drawn significant attention and commentary. While he has not yet addressed his appointment directly in his social media posts, the changes to his profile pictures clearly signal his return to a prominent government position.
