However, he recently shared a deeply personal story with his congregation that highlighted the challenging journey he took to get where he is now.

During a heartfelt sermon, Pastor Ng'ang'a opened up about a time in his life when he was struggling financially. At that time, he lived in Mombasa and faced a difficult decision.
He chose to give up his shop and clothes as a way to live according to the scriptures. This decision, though made out of faith, led to severe financial difficulties.
Without the income from his shop, Ng'ang'a quickly found himself unable to pay his rent, which marked the beginning of one of the toughest periods of his life.
In his sermon, Ng'ang'a shared the emotional experience of being evicted from his home due to rent arrears. He described how he pleaded with his landlord for more time to pay what he owed, but the landlord refused and instead locked him out of the house.
Ng'ang'a recalled the feeling of being utterly alone during this time, with no one to help him out of his dire situation. He did not even have a small amount of money to get by, and this added to the weight of his struggles.
Despite the overwhelming challenges, Ng'ang'a did not lose hope. He talked about how he had to encourage himself to keep going, even when it seemed like there was no one who understood or cared about what he was going through.
Fortunately, Ng'ang'a’s situation began to improve not long after he hit rock bottom. Within a month, he started experiencing small breakthroughs.
These small victories began to accumulate, and over time, his circumstances changed for the better. Ng'ang'a moved from one rented house to another, gradually improving his living conditions. Eventually, he was able to buy his own home, marking the end of a long and challenging journey.
The story of Pastor Ng'ang'a’s rise from poverty and homelessness to success deeply resonated with many of his followers.
They admired his perseverance and saw his story as an inspiration to never give up, no matter how difficult life becomes.
However, there were also some who questioned the authenticity of his story, suggesting that it might be a strategy to encourage his congregation to donate more in tithes and offerings.
Beyond sharing his personal struggles, Ng'ang'a also spoke about his recent decision to leave TikTok, a popular social media platform.
He explained that he decided to quit TikTok because of the disrespectful behavior he encountered from some users on the platform.
Ng'ang'a also took the opportunity to criticize Prophet Victor Kanyari, another well-known preacher, for his controversial actions online.
Ng'ang'a questioned why Kanyari’s ministry has not seen significant growth over the years, despite his long time in the ministry.
