Authorities are searching for a woman identified as Pascaline, also known by her online alias, Passy Ma Trevor, who is accused of scamming over 300 million Kenyan shillings from unsuspecting Kenyans through online platforms.
Pascaline's actions have sparked outrage across social media, leaving more than 200 victims in her wake. Many were lured by her seemingly promising business offers, only to lose their hard-earned money.
The news first broke when TV47 Kenya reported on Pascaline’s alleged criminal activities. Through her social media presence, particularly on Facebook, she managed to build trust with potential customers, gaining their confidence before swindling them out of their money.
Much of the fraud revolves around a company called PAFRIM Investments, which Pascaline had heavily promoted online.
The company was reportedly co-founded by Pascaline alongside two other directors, Fredrick Mbugua Gacheru and George Mutunga, also known as Imran. The name “PAFRIM” is derived from the initials of these three directors.
PAFRIM Investments was presented as a legitimate land-buying company, and Pascaline, along with her co-directors, advertised it widely, attracting numerous Kenyans eager to invest.
However, as time went on, numerous customers who had engaged with the company began reporting that they had been defrauded.
In response to the allegations, one of the company’s directors took to the internet to clarify the situation. They confirmed that PAFRIM Investments is a registered company owned by the three directors.
However, the director expressed concern over the growing accusations surrounding Pascaline. They urged the public to remain cautious and avoid jumping to conclusions, but also emphasized that the company would not tolerate any criminal activities.
Despite this statement, many of those affected by the scam remain convinced that Pascaline used PAFRIM as a front to carry out her fraudulent schemes.
Several victims have come forward to share their experiences, detailing how they trusted her and invested large sums of money, only to find out that they had been conned.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has now launched a manhunt for Pascaline, who is believed to be on the run. The DCI is actively seeking information that could lead to her arrest and is calling on anyone with details about her whereabouts to come forward.
Many of those affected have turned to social media to voice their frustrations and share their stories, further fueling the hunt for Pascaline. With growing public interest in the case, the authorities are under pressure to bring her to justice and recover the stolen funds.
This case is just one example of a growing trend in online scams in Kenya. With the rise of digital transactions, many scammers have found new ways to deceive people, making it harder for authorities to track and apprehend them.
