On August 4, 2024, Solomon Sauli Mwalabila, a prominent Tanzanian businessman and owner of Sauli Luxury bus company, died in a severe road accident in Mbeya. His sudden death has shocked and saddened his family, leaving behind three wives and 16 children.

Mwalabila was known for his success in the bus industry and his dedication to his family. On the day of the accident, he was traveling to Mbeya for work.

His second wife, Martha Edson, reported that he called her to inform her of the delay due to an accident. Tragically, this call would be their last communication.

Shortly afterward, the police informed Martha that Mwalabila had died as a result of the accident caused by another driver's negligence.

Mwalabila had a complex family life, with four wives over his lifetime. Sadly, one of his wives passed away previously, leaving him with three surviving wives.

These wives lived in different parts of Tanzania—one in Chunya, another in Mbeya, and the third in yet another town. Despite the geographical distances, Mwalabila was known for his strong commitment to his family.

His first wife, Debora Mbwilo, shared that they began their life together in a village. As Mwalabila's wealth grew, they moved to Chunya, where he took on a second wife. Debora described him as a fair and loving husband who treated all his wives equally.

Martha Edson, who lived with Mwalabila in Mbeya, remembered him as a polite and attentive husband. She expressed deep sorrow over his passing, particularly because he left behind many children who will now have to grow up without him. Martha praised Mwalabila’s character, noting his dedication to his family and his ability to listen and provide for their needs.

The third wife, Ivarini Bahati, also spoke highly of Mwalabila, describing him as someone who truly cared for his family. She noted that he always made sure to address their concerns and provide what they needed. Ivarini emphasized that he loved all his wives and children deeply, and his death has left a significant void in their lives.

Mwalabila’s death has brought a profound sense of loss to his family. They are now facing the challenge of raising 16 children without his support. The family has called for prayers and assistance from the community as they navigate this difficult period.
