In a deeply emotional ceremony held at the Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) Embakasi church, Nyaboke Moraa's mother paid tribute to her late granddaughter, Marie Achieng' Blak, who passed away on July 28.

The grieving grandmother, who shared a close bond with Marie, expressed her heartbreak and sorrow as she remembered the young woman who meant so much to her.

Marie’s death has left a significant void in the lives of her family members, especially her grandmother.

During the memorial service held on August 7, Nyaboke Moraa's mother spoke candidly about the strong relationship she had with Marie.

Dressed in a light blue outfit similar to her daughter Nyaboke's, she stood before the congregation, her voice filled with grief as she recalled the many conversations they shared.

"Marie has been a friend, a great friend of mine. We used to talk. We talked a lot," she said, her words capturing the depth of the bond they shared.

Her voice trembled as she spoke, reflecting the pain of losing someone so dear. "In this life, everyone has their stage, and Marie alighted at hers," she added, acknowledging the harsh reality that her granddaughter’s life had ended too soon.

The loss of Marie has been particularly hard on her grandmother, who leaned on the wooden bible stand during her speech, pausing several times to compose herself.

The weight of her grief was evident in every word she spoke, and the congregation could feel the depth of her sorrow.

In her brief but poignant address, she also extended her condolences to the family of Marie's father, Blak Aende, recognizing that they too were mourning a beloved family member.

"I do not have much to say, but send my heartfelt condolences to the Blak's family. I am very sorry for Marie's death. When the unfortunate comes, it breaks our hearts. Sorry, Blak and your family," she said, her voice filled with empathy and understanding.

The memorial service was a somber event, with family and friends gathered to honor the memory of Marie Achieng' Blak. Nyaboke Moraa, Marie’s mother, was also deeply affected, and her grief was palpable as she struggled to find the words to express her sorrow.

During the service, Nyaboke attempted to give a eulogy for her daughter but was overcome by emotion.

The weight of the loss proved too much, and she had to cut her speech short, breaking down in tears. Her sisters quickly came to her side, escorting her back to her seat, showing the unity and support within the family during this tragic time.

The passing of Marie has touched many hearts, with social media users reaching out to offer their condolences and support to the grieving family.

Messages of comfort flooded the comments section of online posts about the memorial service, with many expressing their sorrow for the loss that the family is enduring.

“Sorry, mama. May God give you strength,” one user wrote, while another added, “This mama has suffered. From her son a month or so ago and now her granddaughter. God visit her and give her strength.”

The loss of Marie comes just a short time after another family tragedy, making the grief even more intense for Nyaboke Moraa's mother. The elderly woman, who has already faced the pain of losing a son recently, now finds herself mourning the death of her beloved granddaughter.
