Kitale, a town in Trans Nzoia County, Kenya, has recently been thrust into the spotlight following the discovery of a mass grave in Kaliwa village, Waitaluk ward.

This gruesome revelation has sent shockwaves across the region, with the police launching an intensive investigation to uncover the truth behind the chilling incident.

The mass grave was uncovered outside a modest, mud-walled house in the village. Early reports suggest that an unknown number of bodies, all in various stages of decomposition, were found buried in a shallow grave.

The grim discovery has left residents of the area terrified, as many are left questioning what could lead to such a horrific situation in their community.

The exact number of bodies discovered remains unconfirmed, and local authorities are working tirelessly to identify the victims and determine the cause of their deaths.

Forensic experts have been deployed to the scene to gather evidence, and efforts are underway to unearth all possible information about the incident.

Following the discovery, two suspects were arrested in connection with the mass grave. According to local sources, the suspects had been on the radar of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for some time.

Their arrest on Saturday was seen as a significant development in the investigation, although the specifics of their involvement in the crime have not yet been revealed.

The two individuals are currently in police custody, and the authorities are working to establish whether they acted alone or if more people were involved in this shocking crime.

There are also questions about the motive behind the killings, though no official statements have been made regarding the nature of the deaths or how long the bodies had been buried at the site.
