Comedian MC Jessy Mourns the Loss of Close Friend Pastor Favour

Kenyan comedian MC Jessy is in mourning following the death of his dear friend, Silas Wainaina Ng’ang’a, widely known as Pastor Favour. The beloved pastor passed away in Johannesburg, South Africa, on September 2nd, 2024.

His sudden death has shocked many, leaving behind two young children who had already lost their mother, Linda, a few years ago. Pastor Favour’s passing marks a tragic end to a life full of love and service, both to his family and the many people he touched throughout his ministry.

MC Jessy, also known as Jasper Muthomi, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with his followers. In an emotional tribute, he described Pastor Favour as more than just a friend, calling him a brother who had been there for him through thick and thin.

He reminisced about the bond they shared, both in friendship and faith, and expressed his deep sorrow at the void that his friend's death has left in his life.

"Words cannot express the void you’ve left in my heart. You were more than a friend; you were family," MC Jessy wrote. "You were that guy who was always there for advice, always giving positive peer pressure. Say hi to Linda, your wife, and my friend too. Rest well, my brother."

The death of Pastor Favour was officially announced by a close family friend, Brax Ngige, who shared a heartfelt message with friends and family. In the statement, Brax expressed the deep sorrow felt by those close to Silas and reflected on the pastor's impact on many lives through his kindness, warmth, and compassion.

"It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of our beloved brother, Silas Wainaina Ng'ang'a. Silas touched the lives of many with his kindness and warmth and brought joy and love to those around him. His memory will forever remain in our hearts," Brax wrote.
