ODM Governor Wanga Challenges DP Gachagua to Prioritize Service Over Political Distractions

ODM Governor Gladys Wanga has publicly criticized Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for his recent comments about an alleged impeachment plot against him.

Wanga urged Gachagua to redirect his attention to important issues facing the country rather than creating distractions.

In a statement, Wanga made it clear that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is not involved in any plans to impeach Gachagua. She pointed out that the Deputy President should concentrate on fulfilling his responsibilities instead of imagining enemies.

"ODM is not part of any impeachment against Gachagua. The Deputy President should focus on his duties instead of creating imaginary enemies," Wanga stated.

Her comments emphasize the party's commitment to serving the people and addressing the pressing needs of the nation.

Gachagua had recently claimed that he spoke to President William Ruto about rumors of impeachment. According to Gachagua, the President dismissed these claims as "foolish" and noted that they could destabilize the government, especially during a time when the country faces significant challenges, such as protests from Generation Z.

Wanga urged Gachagua to stop fixating on personal battles and instead work on improving the lives of Kenyans. She emphasized the need for national leaders to prioritize issues like economic recovery and service delivery. The focus, she argued, should be on tangible improvements that benefit the population.

Political tensions continue to rise, with Gachagua's claims of isolation stirring concern within the political landscape. Recently, 69 Members of Parliament expressed their support for Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as the preferred leader for the Mount Kenya region. This support adds to the pressure on Gachagua and highlights the shifting political dynamics within the government.

Wanga's call for Gachagua to prioritize his duties serves as a reminder of the importance of effective leadership and service to the public.

With the country facing various challenges, it is crucial for leaders to unite and focus on solutions that benefit all Kenyans rather than engaging in personal conflicts.
