The event was attended by various celebrities, including Lang’ata MP Jalang’o, and was a significant topic of discussion across platforms. Despite the celebration, the couple has also faced harsh criticism, especially from online trolls. Recently, they addressed these critics in a social media live session.
During a recent Instagram live, Mueni shared her feelings about the online negativity surrounding her marriage. She confidently told her followers that she wasn’t bothered by the criticism. In her words, Mueni explained that she had developed thick skin over the years, and the pressure from social media was insignificant compared to what she has gone through in life.
Mueni admitted that she does not even read most of the negative comments directed at her.
"Pressure ya social media hainiwezi (Social media pressure doesn’t affect me). I have hustled in Nairobi, and this is just a small part of my journey. Life imenitandika ikanilalisha (Life has knocked me down and made me struggle), so the pressure from social media is just a minor issue. I don’t even read those hateful comments because I don’t have the time to go through 1,000 comments," Mueni said during the session.
She revealed that she only hears about what people say through screenshots sent to her by friends or family members. Despite the trolls, Mueni remains positive and focused on her life, unbothered by what strangers on the internet think of her.
In a separate interview with TV 47's Dr. Ofweneke, Bolo Bespoke also responded to critics predicting the downfall of his marriage. Some social media users have suggested that Bolo’s marriage to Mueni would not last, with some even claiming it would end in "premium tears."
Bolo, however, dismissed these negative comments, emphasizing that no marriage is perfect. He shared that, like any other couple, he and Mueni have had their challenges. In fact, Bolo revealed that they had broken up four times during their relationship before finally tying the knot. Despite these setbacks, the couple remains committed to each other and determined to make their marriage work.
During the TV 47 interview, Mueni also took the opportunity to clear up a false rumor that had been circulating on social media. Some people had accused her of being involved in a raunchy video with Kenyan musician Timmy T Dat. Mueni firmly denied the accusation, stating that she was not the woman in the video. She expressed frustration over how easily people believe and spread false information online but made it clear that such rumors would not affect her.
Bolo and Mueni’s relationship started when Bolo was going through financial difficulties. Mueni opened up about their early days, revealing that Bolo was living with his father in Umoja when they first met. At the time, Bolo was struggling, while Mueni was doing relatively well for herself. She was working as a karaoke host, performing four times a week, and living independently in a two-bedroom apartment.
Despite Bolo’s financial struggles at the time, the two fell in love and have been together ever since. Their love story is a testament to overcoming challenges and supporting each other through difficult times.
Despite the criticism and rumors, Bolo Bespoke and Mueni continue to live their lives with confidence and pride. They have chosen to focus on their love and shared journey rather than getting distracted by the negativity on social media. With Mueni’s resilience and Bolo’s determination, the couple seems committed to building a lasting and strong marriage, unbothered by the opinions of strangers online.
