MKU girl,22, Found Dead in Nakuru Days After Travelling To City, Here Are Crucial Informations Found In Her Handbag

A 22-year-old female student from Mount Kenya University (MKU) was found dead in Nakuru, days after traveling from Thika to the city.

Her body was discovered in a maize field in the Kiamunyi area on Monday morning, leaving the local community and the university in shock.

According to the local chief, Wilson Maraga, the police found a receipt in the young woman’s handbag that indicated she had traveled from Thika to Nakuru on Saturday afternoon.

However, it is still unclear what happened to her after she arrived in the city. The authorities are treating the case as suspicious, and investigations have been launched to find out what led to her tragic death.

The news has spread quickly, with many people expressing their sadness and concerns over the safety of university students, particularly young women.

This incident has left parents, guardians, and the community worried about the security of students who leave home for their studies, only to meet such unfortunate ends.

The case has also drawn emotional reactions on social media. Governor Felix expressed his deep sorrow, pointing out that incidents like this are becoming too common, especially among young women on campuses.

He questioned what is happening in society that is leading to such tragic outcomes. Many other social media users echoed his sentiments, with one person noting how painful it is for parents to invest in their children’s education only for them to lose their lives in such heartbreaking circumstances.

Another user, Anitter Mwenda, expressed hope that the student’s death was not the result of a relationship gone wrong, a fear many share due to the rise in gender-based violence and relationship conflicts that often lead to fatal outcomes.

The need for safety and protection of students, particularly female students, has become a growing concern in Kenya, as cases of violence continue to rise.
