Mombasa Man Heartbroken After Wife Mysteriously Dies In Saudi Arabia, Seeks Help To Repatriate Body

A man from Mombasa County is in deep distress after learning about the tragic death of his wife in Saudi Arabia.

The grieving husband, who remains anonymous, is heartbroken as he battles with emotional pain and the financial challenges of bringing his wife’s body back to Kenya.

The deceased woman had been working in Saudi Arabia to support her family when she began feeling unwell in June.

She was taken to a hospital, where her condition worsened, and sadly, she passed away in July.

Since then, her husband has been struggling to raise the funds needed to repatriate her body. Every day, he is reminded of her absence as his children repeatedly ask about their mother and when her body will return home for a proper burial.

Despite his efforts to seek assistance, he has found little support. The man shared his frustration over visiting government offices daily, hoping for help but leaving empty-handed each time.

To add to his despair, the agents who initially arranged for his wife’s work in Saudi Arabia have distanced themselves from the situation, leaving the family without any direction or guidance.

The grieving husband emphasized that, for cultural and emotional reasons, his wife cannot be buried abroad. Her family desperately wishes to bring her body back to Kenya, where she belongs.

The tragic situation has caught the attention of the local community, as it underscores the hardships faced by families when loved ones die while working overseas.

Many Kenyans travel to the Gulf region for employment, hoping to improve their family’s lives.

However, some face challenges, including mistreatment, inadequate medical care, and, in unfortunate cases, premature death.

In a similar case, a family in Kisii County is struggling to bring home the body of their daughter, Winnie Kwamboka, who allegedly died in Saudi Arabia after a fall from a building.

Her family, like the Mombasa man, is also faced with the financial burden of repatriating her body.

These heart-wrenching cases have led many Kenyans to call on the government for more substantial support in helping families repatriate the bodies of their loved ones who pass away abroad.
