Willis Ayieko: Female Suspect Linked To Murder Of Wells Fargo HR Manager Dies In Police Custody

A tragic twist has emerged in the case of Willis Ayieko, a Human Resources Manager at Wells Fargo, whose body was found in a swamp in Sabatia, Siaya County, three days after he was reported missing.

Ayieko's death has shocked the community, as police investigations reveal disturbing details surrounding his murder.

On Tuesday, October 29, DCI detectives arrested two women and a man suspected to be en route to commit a robbery.

The arrests took place after police received a tip about suspicious activities in the area. During the arrest, a confrontation ensued, resulting in a gunfight.

One of the female suspects sustained serious injuries in the exchange and later passed away in police custody, as reported by Citizen TV.

The police recovered Ayieko's Ceska pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition from the suspects.

Additionally, police garments were found in their possession, raising further questions about the suspects' intentions and possible links to other crimes.

Another male suspect who had been injured during the gunfight managed to escape into nearby thickets before taking off on a motorbike, leaving authorities on high alert as they continue their manhunt for the remaining gang members.

In a related development, detectives in Nairobi earlier arrested Victor Okoth, another suspect in the murder case, on October 28.

Okoth is alleged to have withdrawn over KSh 100,000 from Ayieko’s mobile account shortly after his death. According to police reports, he used the stolen funds to rent a house and buy household items.

Okoth was arraigned at the Siaya Law Courts on October 30, and police were granted permission to detain him for 21 days to allow for further investigations.

Ayieko's family, devastated by the tragic news, appealed for prayers and support from the public.

They recently suffered another loss in September with the passing of Ayieko’s brother, adding to their grief.

DCI authorities in the Nyanza region, led by Regional Coordinator Lenny Kisaka, have intensified their efforts to capture the remaining five members of the suspected gang believed to be involved in Ayieko's murder.
