The car, a Mercedes Benz C180, was reportedly stuck at the Mombasa port due to issues with the supplier.
The client paid KSh 4.2 million for the car, but after waiting for months, they grew frustrated with the delays.
Leaked WhatsApp conversations between Kairo and the client show the two were in constant communication about the car’s delivery.
In one message, Kairo promised to call the client back within an hour and assured him that the car would be delivered by the end of the week.
He explained that his company was facing some “internal challenges” that were causing the delay.
However, the client remained unsatisfied and continued to press Kairo for a solution. “How do internal issues affect a car paid for six months ago?” the client wrote.
He also accused Kairo of using the money for personal expenses instead of resolving the car’s delivery issues.
The client’s patience wore thin, and he threatened to visit Kairo’s car yard along Kiambu Road to collect the car himself.
The conversation revealed that the client had called Kairo multiple times, but he was unable to get a clear response.
In one of the messages, the client even questioned Kairo’s status as a billionaire, asking, “But I thought you are a billionaire, bro?”
Despite the ongoing issues, Kairo promised to sort things out by seeking an emergency loan from the bank.
He further stated that he would no longer tolerate the delays and was determined to take action if the situation was not resolved immediately.
This situation has left many questioning Khalif Kairo’s business practices and whether he will be able to regain his reputation after the public dispute.
