Residents of Muhuyu village in Bungoma County are in shock following the mysterious death of a local clergyman, Benjamin Akwiro Awor.
Awor was found dead in his bedroom a few days ago under strange circumstances. What followed his death, however, has left the community puzzled and suspicious.
According to neighbors, the pastor's wife made an unusual decision that raised many questions.
After discovering her husband's body, she was seen burning the bedding where he had died.
This act immediately caught the attention of those around her, as they suspected that she was trying to destroy important evidence related to his death.
The neighbors quickly became concerned about the situation, especially since there was no clear explanation for the cause of Awor's death.
The situation became even more tense when Awor’s colleagues, who worked as boda boda riders, arrived at the scene.
They were upset and demanded answers from the pastor’s wife regarding the burned bedding.
The riders accused her of tampering with evidence and possibly covering up something about his death.
This confrontation between the wife and the angry group of boda boda riders was intense, and the situation almost turned violent.
Fortunately, the police arrived at the scene just in time to intervene. They managed to rescue the wife from the charged crowd, preventing the situation from escalating further.
She was then taken into police custody for questioning as investigations into the cause of the pastor’s death began.
At the time of discovery, neighbors reported that Awor’s body showed no obvious signs of violence, except for blood that was oozing from his nose and mouth.
This lack of visible injuries only deepened the mystery surrounding his death.
The wife has remained quiet about the events, and the police are working hard to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the clergyman’s death.
