Kenyans Question On Where Diana Marua's Ex-Nanny, Irene Nekesa Took Her Ksh 100k Salary After Appeal For Help

Irene Nekesa, the former nanny of Diana Marua and Bahati, has recently become a topic of discussion after asking Kenyans for financial assistance.

In a YouTube video, Irene shared her struggles with her current living conditions.

She revealed that she was unable to afford rent for her bedsitter, which was sparsely furnished with just a mattress and no other furniture.

She further mentioned that a kind woman had donated a mattress after learning that Irene was sleeping on the floor.

Despite the support she received from this woman, Irene’s plea for help did not sit well with many Kenyans, especially since she had reportedly earned KSh 100,000 every month while working for Bahati and Diana Marua.

Kenyans quickly raised questions about how she managed her salary over the years, with some asking, “Where did you take the KSh 100,000 salary?” and “What happened to the money you earned?”

The public was curious about why someone who had been paid a decent salary for several years was now struggling financially.

In her video, Irene explained that financial difficulties had forced her to send her son back to the village.

She also mentioned her desire for furniture donations, suggesting product placement as a way for businesses to support her in exchange for publicity.

Irene's request for help has received mixed reactions, with some Kenyans advising her to hustle and find ways to support herself rather than asking for online assistance.

Irene also spoke about her decision to leave the Maruas' home after many years of service.

She revealed that Bahati and Diana had encouraged her to start creating content on social media, just as they had helped her grow her online presence.

Irene has over 200,000 followers on Instagram, which she has now turned into a platform for sharing her journey as a content creator.

While some sympathize with Irene’s situation, others remain skeptical about her financial management and the choices she made during her time working for the Maruas.
