Painful Moments As Chuka University Students Mourn 2 Female Comrades Killed In Accident Outside Gate

Chuka University students are in deep mourning following the tragic deaths of two female students, Cynthia Ochoi and her close friend Felly, who lost their lives in a recent road accident just outside the university’s main gate.

The accident, which took place over a week ago, has shaken the university community and left many students calling for urgent action to improve safety in the area.

The accident occurred when a vehicle struck both girls. Felly, tragically, died instantly at the scene, while Cynthia was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

After being transferred to a hospital in Nairobi for further treatment, Cynthia fought for her life but, sadly, succumbed to her injuries over the weekend.

Her passing reignited grief among students who had already been deeply affected by the sudden loss of Felly.

In response to these heartbreaking events, Chuka University students took to the streets in peaceful protests, demanding that authorities address the safety hazards near the campus entrance.

They expressed frustration over the recurring accidents involving students and voiced their concern that no effective measures had been taken to prevent further incidents.

Many students believe that increased safety precautions, such as speed bumps, clear signage, and lighting, could significantly reduce the risks posed to pedestrians in this area.

The news of Cynthia and Felly’s deaths has sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media, with friends and classmates posting emotional tributes to remember the young women.

During a recent campus event, students came together to honor their memory, with many sharing memories and offering words of comfort to each other in this difficult time.

The gathering highlighted the close bond within the Chuka University community and their shared grief over the tragic loss of their comrades.

This accident comes just a few weeks after a similar tragedy struck Nyandarua National Polytechnic, where two students also lost their lives in a road accident.

In both incidents, the affected communities have been left mourning and calling for action to prevent more needless deaths.
