Tabitha Gatwiri: Questions Arise As Pathologists Reveal Cause Of Content Creater's Demise

The sudden death of Kenyan content creator Tabitha Gatwiri has left many in shock and sorrow.

Known for her engaging online presence, Gatwiri’s passing has stirred deep emotions among her fans and fellow creators who remember her as a vibrant figure on social media.

As her family and friends prepare for her final farewell, more details about her tragic death are coming to light.

On Saturday, November 2, Naomi Kuria, another content creator and friend, shared an update regarding the autopsy report.

The post-mortem examination, conducted at Kenyatta University Funeral Home, indicated that Gatwiri died from “positional asphyxia with brain edema.”

Positional asphyxia happens when someone’s body position prevents them from breathing adequately, which can lead to suffocation.

This finding helped clarify some of the circumstances surrounding Gatwiri’s untimely death, but additional tests were recommended to rule out other factors.

The pathologists involved in Gatwiri’s case have advised her family to conduct a full toxicology test.

This will determine if there were any traces of poisoning or intoxication in her system that may have contributed to her passing.

This extra step is crucial, as it will provide a complete picture of the circumstances leading to her death, giving her family a sense of closure and assurance that all aspects have been thoroughly examined.

Gatwiri’s passing has not only impacted her close family and friends but has also sparked an outpouring of tributes from Kenyans across social media.

Many fans expressed their sadness, with some sharing how Gatwiri’s content had brought them comfort during difficult times.

She was seen as a positive influence in the digital space, bringing smiles to her followers and offering them a source of lightheartedness.

At the same time, Gatwiri’s death has sparked conversations around the mental and physical well-being of young content creators in Kenya.

Social media personalities often experience pressure to maintain a certain image, which can have underlying impacts on their health and well-being.

In a separate but similar incident, Lucy Wambui, another Kenyan, recently passed away after a liposuction procedure.
