"Ugly Child" Jackie Matubia Discloses Reasons Why Mum Abandoned Her At Pumwani Hospital 3 months after Birth

Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia has shared a deeply personal story about the painful rejection she faced from her mother after birth.

In an emotional interview with Dr. Ofweneke, Matubia revealed that she was abandoned at Pumwani Maternity Hospital shortly after she was born.

According to Matubia, her mother was shocked by her appearance, describing her as a "dark child with a lot of hair." This led her mother to believe she had given birth to a "monster."

The rejection was worsened by the cruel comments from Matubia's aunt, who called her "an ugly child."

These hurtful words left a lasting impact on Matubia, and her mother left her at the hospital for three months. This early rejection left scars on her and shaped her understanding of love and acceptance.

Matubia opened up about how the trauma of abandonment has stayed with her throughout her life.

She admitted that being born into rejection is something she has struggled with. "I was born into rejection, and it's something in me," she said, explaining how it has influenced her views and actions.

Despite the pain of those early years, Matubia has grown into a strong, successful woman, and her fans have praised her for her courage in sharing her story.

The actress also spoke about her experience with co-parenting following her breakup with actor Blessing Lung'aho.

Jackie and Blessing began dating in 2021, and he proposed to her in 2022, but they eventually separated.

Matubia revealed that she tried to reach out to Blessing in an attempt to work together for their daughter’s well-being, but she felt that he was not responsive to her efforts.

Her openness about these personal struggles has resonated with many of her followers, who have shown their support.

Kenyans on social media expressed their empathy, with many commenting on how brave Matubia was to speak out about her painful past.
