Sister Ruth, a much-loved nun from Nakuru, has gone missing, leaving her family, friends, and community members in deep worry.
She disappeared on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, and was last seen in Shauri Yako, Nakuru County. The situation has left many feeling anxious, as there are still no clues about her whereabouts.
Fr. Kinyua, a member of Hekima Parish, where Sister Ruth works, reached out on social media, asking the public to help in the search.
“Dear good people, I am looking for this beautiful daughter of God,” he posted.
“Please, share widely until she is found, all for the Greater Glory of God.” His words show the pain and urgency felt by those closest to her.
Sister Ruth works at St. Daniel Comboni Hekima Parish within the Nakuru Diocese. She lives in a convent located inside the church compound in Kivumbini Ward.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Fr. Kinyua confirmed that efforts to find her are ongoing.
“We are still looking for her,” he said, asking for any information that could lead to her safe return.
The disappearance has moved many people across the country to send their prayers.
“May God protect her and bring her back safe,” wrote one person.
Others have offered more prayers, hoping for a miracle.
“Lord Jesus, we pray that this sister will be found alive and safe, just as you were found in the temple,” said one emotional commenter.
Many Kenyans are familiar with the sense of distress that comes when someone goes missing, especially in a community as close-knit as Nakuru.
This case is a reminder of the fears families face when a loved one’s safety is in question.
There’s also concern about the growing number of missing persons in the country.
If anyone has any information, they are urged to contact Fr. Kinyua at 0721 421 139 or the parish leaders at Hekima Parish.
