Habona, the student in question, had faced a major setback when she was sent home after accumulating KSh 160,000 in school fees arrears.
However, her situation took a positive turn thanks to the help of well-wishers.
The father of one of her classmates reached out to Affecto Foundation’s founder, Ndung'u Nyoro, for assistance.
Nyoro then used his social media platform to ask his followers for support in raising the required fees.
Within a day, the funds were raised, and Habona was able to return to school and continue her studies.
Nyoro shared the good news on his Facebook page, proudly announcing that Habona had not only returned to school but had also performed exceptionally well in the national exams.
He wrote, “I am happy to report that Habona has scored an impressive A-.”
He went on to thank everyone who had contributed to helping the student achieve her dream of completing her education.
The generosity shown by Kenyans was truly inspiring.
Many expressed their admiration for the support Habona received and congratulated her on her remarkable performance.
One commenter, Njagi Caroline, praised Nyoro’s efforts, calling him a “Father Abraham” and celebrating the positive impact he had on the student’s life.
Others, such as Damaris Kinyua and Cynthia Khan, expressed their congratulations, while Raphael Otieno commended the initiative, stating that Habona could have ended up in a difficult situation without the help she received.
