On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna, the leader of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), made a heartwarming gesture during her Daughters of Zion women's fellowship meeting.
The powerful preacher, known for her inspirational leadership, welcomed new visitors in a special way by giving each of them KSh 1,000.
This unexpected act of kindness left the congregation in awe and showcased her generosity and love for her followers.
The Daughters of Zion fellowship is a vibrant monthly gathering led by Kathy Kiuna, where women come together to share in fellowship and spiritual growth.
During the January meeting, Kathy paused her preaching to recognize a group of first-time visitors in the congregation.
She called on them to come forward and announced that she wanted to gift ten women KSh 1,000 each.
As soon as Kathy made the announcement, a group of women quickly ran to the altar, excited by the prospect of receiving a gift.
Kathy proceeded to give KSh 1,000 to each of them, expressing her love for them.
Her explanation was simple yet profound: she gave the money because she wanted to, with no particular reason beyond her love and generosity.
“I just gave you because I wanted to,” she said, echoing the message that acts of kindness are often done without expecting anything in return.
For one visitor who questioned why she was receiving the gift, Kathy replied by explaining that it was a reminder of how love and grace often don’t need to be justified.
"We are not called to do; we are called to the place that is already done," she added, reinforcing the spiritual message of giving and grace.
This act of generosity came at a time when Kathy is still mourning the loss of her husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna, who passed away in July 2024 after a long battle with cancer.
Despite her personal sorrow, Kathy has continued to lead with strength, offering comfort and inspiration to her church community.
