A family in Magongo, Mombasa, is in distress as they search for their three-year-old daughter, Claudia Priscah Mose, who went missing on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024.
Claudia was last seen in the morning outside her mother's shop, where she had been sitting on the verandah with another young girl.
The family’s anxiety grew when Claudia was no longer found after excusing herself to go to the washroom.
Her father, Jeremiah Mose Nyamasege, was in Malindi at the time of the incident and ha
d been trying to reach his wife, who had not answered repeated calls earlier in the day.
It was not until the afternoon that they managed to connect, and his wife informed him of the disappearance.
"I called her more than five times, but there was no response. When we finally spoke, she told me that our daughter was missing," Nyamasege shared with TUKO.co.ke.
His wife had been looking for Claudia, but the little girl was nowhere to be found.
According to Nyamasege, Claudia went missing around 7:30 a.m., just after her mother had opened her shop.
While the mother briefly entered the shop, Claudia was left outside with the other child. Upon returning, she realized her daughter had disappeared.
Despite a thorough search and the family’s efforts, Claudia has not been found.
Nyamasege reported the matter to the police, who have since begun investigating the disappearance.
The father expressed deep concern for his daughter’s safety and well-being, noting that none of the family members are at peace.
"We are all doing everything we can to bring her back," Nyamasege said.
The emotional strain has been intense, especially considering that Claudia was set to begin school in January, but now, those plans have been put on hold.
As the search continues, the family remains hopeful but anxious. They urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in finding their daughter.
For the family, the joy of Christmas has been replaced with overwhelming worry, and they are praying for a safe return.
