Musician Kevin Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, are celebrating their eighth anniversary. 

To mark this special occasion, Bahati has been showering Diana with love and gifts, keeping their fans entertained on social media. 

Recently, the couple traveled to Bahati’s rural home in Makueni for a formal family introduction, where an unexpected story about Bahati’s past was shared.

During the gathering, one of Bahati’s uncles spoke about Yvette Obura, the musician’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter, Mueni. 

The uncle humorously recalled how Yvette once asked him to buy milk for Mueni before he even knew about her.

"There is a girl called Mueni, who is she?" the uncle asked. "This girl, I bought her milk even when I did not know who she was. 

There was a madam I worked with, she was called Obura. 

I don't know who told her that I was with you, and she told me, ‘Your child must get milk.’ 

I wondered who this child was and who she belonged to. And I knew one day we would meet."

This revelation sparked online discussions, with many netizens reacting to the uncle’s words. 

Some social media users suggested that in their culture, the first wife is always recognized, while others found the uncle’s comments amusing.

Meanwhile, Bahati’s visit to his village was a grand occasion. Diana was warmly welcomed by her in-laws with songs and dances. 

The family had even decorated tents to make the occasion special. The couple’s children, Mueni and Heaven, were also present, adding to the joy of the moment.

The visit also raised questions about Bahati and Diana’s marriage. 

Their children openly asked why their parents had not yet tied the knot. In response, Bahati hinted at something big happening soon.

"I’ll be giving mummy the seventh gift," Bahati said, leaving fans speculating about a possible wedding.

This statement follows Bahati’s recent grand gesture of love, where he proposed to Diana for the second time. 

He has also been making lavish gifts, including spending KSh 8 million on Valentine’s Day.
