Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has asked the critics of President William Ruto to allow him the time to fulfill his responsibilities and complete his five-year term.
Speaking in support of the president, Kindiki made it clear that it is important for President Ruto to be given the space to focus on his duties without constant scrutiny.
Kindiki said, "He has a five-year term. Those questions should come at the right time."
His statement was directed at those who have been questioning the president’s leadership and actions so far.
According to Kindiki, now is not the time to judge or criticize the president harshly.
The Deputy President’s message is aimed at giving President Ruto the opportunity to implement his plans and vision for the country.
He believes that the president’s critics should wait until the end of his term before making any serious judgments.
This period, Kindiki suggests, should be used for the president to prove himself through the work he does in office.
The remarks come as some Kenyans have expressed concerns about the progress of various government initiatives and how the president has handled key national issues.
However, Kindiki is firm in his belief that President Ruto should be allowed the full duration of his term to address these challenges before anyone attempts to assess his leadership.
Criticism is a normal part of leadership, but Kindiki emphasized that it is only fair to give the president the time to show the results of his leadership.
As he pointed out, it is too early to judge the full impact of the president's decisions and policies.
