The ongoing conflict between police officer Sammy Ondimu and Pastor James Ng’ang’a has taken a new turn after the preacher mentioned Ondimu’s late mother.
The disagreement started after Ng’ang’a dismissed a struggling woman, Milka Moraa, who had pleaded for help after being locked out of her house due to unpaid rent.
Milka Moraa, a mother of two, went viral after a video showed her begging Pastor Ng’ang’a for financial assistance.
Instead of helping, the pastor told her to seek aid from the police or Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
His response angered many Kenyans, who accused him of being insensitive.
"This church is not a place for giving out money. Go to the police or the governor," Ng’ang’a said in the video.
Seeing Moraa’s struggles, Sammy Ondimu decided to step in.
He mobilized well-wishers to support her, securing a job for her at ExpressWay Lounge and helping her get a house through the government’s Affordable Housing Project.
However, Pastor Ng’ang’a did not appreciate Ondimu’s involvement.
In a viral video, the preacher mocked the police officer, questioning his financial status.
"This police officer, what is his name? Samuel Ondimu! You don’t even have a motorbike. I own a Lexus! Look for your agemates to joke with," Ng’ang’a said.
He then issued a veiled threat, saying, "If you repeat it again, officer, your mother will cry."
Ondimu was deeply hurt by Ng’ang’a’s comment about his late mother, who passed away in 2012.
He responded strongly, warning the pastor against making such statements.
"This has deeply pained me. His remarks have reopened wounds. I cannot allow him to keep threatening me," Ondimu said.
He also denied Ng’ang’a’s claim that he had given Moraa KSh 100,000.
"Pastor Ng’ang’a didn’t give Moraa any amount. He is a comedian and should join Churchill Show," he added.
Ondimu made it clear that if the pastor continued issuing threats, he would take legal action.
"I am a police officer, and if this continues, I will take action. I only helped Moraa, so I don’t understand why he is attacking me," he stated.
