In a goodwill message, Babu Owino described Raila as a visionary leader who has dedicated his life to fighting for democracy, justice, and economic empowerment across Africa.
According to Babu Owino, Raila Odinga is the right candidate to lead the AU Commission because of his courage, wisdom, and commitment to uniting the continent.
He believes that Africa needs a leader who can challenge the status quo and implement policies that will drive development and self-reliance.
"Africa needs a leader of your caliber one with the courage to challenge the status quo, the wisdom to unite our people, and the foresight to champion the transformative policies that will propel our continent forward," Babu Owino stated.
The Embakasi East legislator also acknowledged Raila’s long-standing commitment to Pan-Africanism and his ability to engage with African leaders in high-level discussions.
He assured Raila that he has the support and prayers of many Kenyans and Africans who believe in his leadership.
“As you engage with Heads of State and African leaders in Addis Ababa, know that the prayers and support of millions across Kenya and beyond are with you.
Your victory will not just be a win for Kenya, but for the entire African continent," he added.
Raila Odinga’s bid for the AUC Chairpersonship has gained momentum, with many leaders across Kenya and Africa expressing their support.
