The students and family of Awele Agatha Eluemunor gathered in grief to bid farewell to the promising final-year nursing student from Delta State College of Nursing, Agbor.
Awele, who was preparing to graduate in November, tragically lost her life after being hit by a car on February 19, 2025.
She was laid to rest on February 21 in an emotional burial that has moved many to tears.
According to reports, Awele was struck by a vehicle driven by a university student who was learning how to drive under the supervision of her boyfriend.
The incident happened on a busy road at night, and unfortunately, Awele died on the spot.
Two other victims involved in the accident were rushed to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The sudden and tragic nature of Awele's passing has sparked discussions about road safety and the dangers of allowing untrained drivers on public roads.
Awele's burial was an emotional moment for her family, friends, and coursemates.
A video that surfaced online showed her fellow students carrying her coffin, with some breaking down in tears.

Her coursemates described her as a hardworking and kind person who had a bright future ahead of her.
