The family of Naomi Wangare, a 29-year-old woman found murdered in Embakasi, Nairobi, is still in shock after her brutal killing.
Naomi’s mother and husband have shared details of the last moments before her tragic death, as police continue to search for the suspects.
Naomi was found dead on February 18, just a few yards from her home.
Witnesses reported seeing her with two men before her body was discovered.
The attackers are still on the run, and the police have launched investigations to bring them to justice.
Her husband, Cornel Ekaset, narrated the chilling moments leading up to the discovery of her body.
Speaking to the media, he recalled, "I came back home and decided to take a nap.
While sleeping, I had strange dreams and saw a vision of my wife being attacked. When I woke up, I realized she was not next to me."
A few moments later, someone knocked on his door. A neighbor had come to break the devastating news.
"When I heard what had happened, I did not even react immediately. I just went to the police station to confirm if it was true," he added.
Naomi’s mother, Violet Namasaya, also shared how she learned about her daughter's tragic fate. "I was informed by neighbors.
One of them even showed me my daughter's head.
I was told that when she was struggling for her life, a neighbor threw a stone at the attackers, trying to scare them away."
Witnesses revealed that they heard Naomi’s desperate screams for help, but by the time they arrived at the scene, it was too late.
Her body was found half-naked, suggesting that she had been assaulted before being killed.
The autopsy report later confirmed that Naomi died due to strangulation, with visible marks on her neck.
The murder has sent shockwaves through the Embakasi neighborhood, with residents calling for justice.
Many are questioning how such a brutal act could happen so close to home.
The police are now following leads to track down the two men seen with Naomi before her death.
As the investigation continues, Naomi’s family is left grieving, hoping that those responsible will be arrested and brought to justice.
"My daughter did not deserve to die like this. We just want justice," her mother said in tears.
